Steampunk Bag

Hello!

and I'm back with a new inspiration for you.

You know I love to try some new ideas and to leave my comfort zone.
The time was right to create with fabric.
Before it was a very simple cotton bag and now it's a very special bag :-)

I use an amazing stencil with some fabric colors from DecoArt,
this paint is very soft and flexible to the touch, the colours 'Lamp Black', 'Dark Chocolate' and 'Burnt Sienna' were also suitable for a faux rust effect.

 some details

The metallic silver effect was made with a Heat Transfer foil.

My  teamies at SASPC have come up with many
inspiring and different versions
on the theme this time.
Please have a look and feel you inspired to create your own
steampunk or industrial project
We are looking forward to see your new creations!

Let's go shopping :-)

The Snow Queen

Welcome!

Do you know the old fairytale 'The Snow Queen' from Hans Christian Anderssen?,
it was one of my favourite stories in my childhood.
In the Disney adaption 'Frozen' are Elsa and Anna the main figures.
Our children loves this film and all the figures also snowmen 'Olaf',
they are totally in vogue here.
'Let it go' is the song which are sung or twittered on early morning,
at noon and in the evening, especially when it has snowed.

So I came up with the idea of tinkering a snow queen.
I also wanted to try the tattered angels mists together with fabric and stiffener.

how I  make this and more close up's
 can you see HERE

and very exciting News
CCB has a new collection on start

with a great vintage feeling and perfect for projects in altered art!

Happy weekend!

Altered bottle - Calypso -

Welcome my new and old followers!

It's not new, I love the sea, forever and ever!

used materials
Sculpture medium Prima
Archival cast , Figureheads Prima
Gesso
Texture sand paste
Art stones
Acrylic paint Cobalt Teal Hue, Cobalt Turquoise Hue, Titanium White

Thanks for your visit!

I'm lost at sea, don't search for me ;-)

The crane dance

Hi friends!

Every year, the lively dance steps of the resting cranes attract huge crowds
of spectators.
I saw it on the Baltic sea and I can say it's really majestic and magic!

I wanted to try necessarily new sculpture medium in connection with Archival cast (figureheads)
from Prima
that's my first result

I hope you can see the fabric around the figurehead
and the inked fabric (green, yellow under the photo)
you need patience until the material is dry
but it creates wonderful 3D effects!

I used a lot of laces and crochet pieces with beautiful details
which you can see on detail photos
I was always inspired from fabric collages and wanted to try it,
that's my first and what should I say,
I need to do more now :-)

I have sewed a cover from old cotton fabric
and created a fabric paper collage for my diary.

 Tutorial
how you make a 3D flower from laces,
 totally simple, but with effect!

cut a single flower, use a twine
wrap around the center of the flower and fix it with a little bit hot glue

Christmas stocking

Welcome everyone!
today a new inspiration  for our DT Tresors de Luxe.
It's a self made sewn christmas stocking.

wo viele nette kleine Überraschungen hinein passen

I hope you like my christmas inspiration

with the beautiful products from Tresure de Luxe

and you get pleasure to taste it once yourself :-)
Thanks for your visit!

Moments of Life

I love the shabby chic style and I'm always inspired from soo many talented ladies in Blogland, wonderful inspirations. In this time I worked with old fabric cotton pieces and the Tattered flowers die from sizzix,
and I am always amazed how well they can cut out fabric!

Life is not measured by the number
of breaths we take,
but by the

The chipboard with this great saying is from Creative Embellishments,
it is light wood and you can cut it well, as shown here :-)

Filou and the shoelace

Welcome everyone

Our new theme at Our creative corner in this month hosted by
our new very creative Jan is

What makes you smile ? :-)?

Close your eyes for a few minutes, relax and think about something that makes you smile..............
It could be a special person, a favourite place, a quote, an incident, the list is endless!
our June challenge is to create something that will make us smile, it could be a scrapbook or journal page, a canvas, a tag, whatever your imagination dictates.

My first thought to this theme was my dog for many years.
As he was a  puppy he had always fun to pull out the laces from our shoes.
He no longer does this, but it is always something new thought out, it never gets boring ;-)!
